Venus in yellow Goddess dress, her own design
Really like the sisters and their brand of tennis since... forever. I know most beg to differ. For me, they're like a breath of fresh air. They didn't always use to be so fashionable, but the dresses this year are pretty! I especially love the bright cheery yellow bordering on lime. Also, something about Serena's big blinged out hoop earrings and heart pendant just makes her that much more complete.
I've been taking more notes on outfits down at the AO. To be fair, my last post on Verdasco's TMNT shirt? Baghdatis was sporting it too, I just never realised. Well, it happens when your outfits wear you instead of vice versa I guess. Jankovic is in ANTA, and it ain't a pretty sight. Shapeless, poorly fitting clothes. It's no wonder she didn't feel so good.
Several players have been spotted in Fila. Svetlana (not svelte, more like Fatlana) Kuznetsova, Dokic and Chakvetadze wore green and white, the couleur du saison. I have nothing against Fila (my awesomest tracksuit is theirs) or the colours, but UGH! The designs are grotesque. The patterns are retro and the clothes lacklustre. The Fatlana set is mediocre but bearable, the Chakvetadze set below? ... the horror. And yes, it's a top with matching skirt, not a dress. If it were a dress, my eyes would possibly have just flicked across the picture and glossed over another-of-those-yawn-tennis-dresses. Your eyes deceive you.
What else could you pair it with? The colour is too unique, and to pair it with this season's fila plain white tennis skirt? Too supa imba, honey. What about Dokic's green skirt? Sure the colour matches, but so does the freaking trim at the neck and waist! Hogawd, I can't even begin to imagine. Can't... Breathe... Hyper... Ventilating...
Dokic
Chakvetadze
Novak
Ahh...Well, at least there's Djokovic in classic Adidas. Silver shoes like rocket foil boosters are the way to go! Details never go unappreciated either. Bravo for having contrasting wristbands (: it makes the outfit that much more interesting.
