Another 2000 words due on Monday and a million things to see to before that. Feeling infinitely stupid for attending classes unprepared and subjecting myself to open fire since so many people are skipping and I know it. Anyway, enough of wallowing in my misery. I've been
Here is a selection—I can never single out just one or two as favourites—from London and Milan:
(it is a long list, you have been warned.....)
Gianfranco Ferre for the loveliest collection of illusory exaggerated hourglasses.
Mary Kantratzou for sheer brilliance. Perfume bottles... I like!
Pollini for detail and the motif which reminds me of my limber youth.
Basso & Brooke for the prints and mixing.
Bottega Veneta for pure sophiscation.
Christopher Kane for doodling clothes onto the models.
Erdem as previously mentioned here;
Julien Macdonald for sparkly basics.
Luisa Beccaria for romance.
Marni for, solely, the shoe. LOVE. THE. SILHOUETTE.
Richard Nicoll for a collection evocative of anime space nurses.....
Prada's f/w 09 rubber-soled shoes (left) were reminiscent of the YSL's f/w 08 Trooper (right), don't you think? I much prefer the latter. No zips, no fuss, just slip them right off and on = sex.
The highly anticipated Paris Fashion Week will be here in a jiffy! I'll try to update again soon without compromising my assignment this time. Bonne nuit mes amis!
Until we meet again,
J'adore
