Inner Demons Unleashed

Things lined up this weekend:
Friday- The Sniper
Saturday- Fash Bash, (maybe) grid girl registration at Wisma, (maybe) picking up the CD of photos from January, and the boyf's dad's birthday dinner at RTC
Sunday- house hunting

I really haven't accomplished much studying at all, still. Regrettably so. Where is the urgency!!!! It eludes me ): I've written a list of DIY projects to embark on after exams to try and motivate myself, but it only serves to highlight the fact that I don't have time for anything at all.

The only up-side to being so busy, is that I will actually be doing something constructive this time round. Or so I hope. Internships will be crucial for me in establishing a future direction and also to leave a good impression and reason to hire me despite my failing grades. Not optimistic though.

I have (very nearly) decided against the items (here) because I feel that they are impulsive and unnecessary. The only truly compelling item is the white PP but I know what I truly wish to own is the Lanvin (because it is Lanvin, albeit with the bonus that it is both practical and pretty, which is also against my thrifty principles). I found a cheaper way to ship though. DAMN. And I thought I could easily abandon it. Would make a good gift though... Mother's motto: if you don't want it, just give it away. (Immediately, small Evie springs to mind as the ideal candidate.) Apparently this is a symptom of shopaholism.

The next demon I have to battle, is the urge to go check out this one stall at Fash Bash. Tangible items!!! To hold and to feel and to tempt. Bad! I should be holing myself up at home but I have found an excuse to go check it out: grid girl registration is nearby, and at the same time dinner is just a 10 minute bus ride from there. It is the recession and I should be saving up. For the house. For the future. For the bigger picture. Sure. "Wise investments", "Discounts" and "Stimulating the economy" aren't good enough reasons for me. I know better than that.

Although I love Ariel (only the original, not the sequels), did you know mermaids are actually evil? See the rest of this editorial here.

Cheers,
