The Latest

My white Paloma Picasso didn't materialise, although I did want it very much. Now I'm newly fixated on this floral halter top and these double buckle platform sandals in natural (or orange?) from ASOS.

Also, Norma Kamali has become a sort of obsession. Walmart is sold out and eBay has things going for exorbitant prices. Don't be fooled! Many of the things are still available on the site (here), some even at half-price e.g. the batwing cardigan.

If someone has this Norma Kamali for Walmart jumper for me in grey, white or navy, I will love you forever.

My perfect swimsuit this summer would be one of these modernised retro pin-up swimsuits.

Or these funky ones

A sleeping bag short coat: this would be my dream (quilted) "down" jacket. Gotta love the sheen. Bet you could wear it inside out too! (MACHINE WAAASH) Don't they remind you of Junya Watanabe FW09? Same aesthetic and same kooky materials, although I'm sure Watanabe san takes his to a much higher level.

Parachute skirt: you can play around with the lengths using the cords! It can be transformed from short to around mid-calf length? Very cool!! Best thing about it, MACHINE WASH, like most of her clothes. That's the great thing about the materials she chooses to work with: jersey, nylon, cotton.

Also comes in full length for drama! Aye caramba! The volume, and draping/ruffling is so amazing. *Sighs*

There're metallics, catsuits, leggings, jersey, gowns and funky conceptual convertible clothing abound. Perfect for whiling the morning away. Nothing like beautiful clothes to have a great start to the day. I can imagine many different permutations of multi-layers. With a wardrobe full of Kamali, it would be a breeze dream dressing up.

So visit Norma Kamali, it's full of beautiful/hot/sexy items. Even if you don't find something you like, you're bound to be inspired.

Oh btw, a local publication recently ran an article saying that once you're a convertible clothing convert you don't look back. Corroborating evidence, Exhibit A, here: me. I know I'm certainly addicted.
