Why fight with the big boys when you can have toys?
A real point-and-shoot encased in a lovely miniature Leica Rangefinder body, THE MINOX MINI LEICA 5.0 DIGITAL CAMERA IS MY FAVOURITE HANDS DOWN! But also the most expensive. Boo ): truly les cooles!
Some more affordable distractions...
35mm film
Get a SuperHeadz Shironeko Cat Holga in a Can (web exclusive!)... you know you want one. So cute, who can resist ne?
A really super sleek and minimalistic camera, the SuperHeadz Plamodel DIY 35mm Camera's best part is DIY assembly! So fun :D flash-less though, so it'll only be awesome in daylight.
Get some creative splicing action in the SuperHeadz Golden Half Camera. It splits the photographs vertically (half and half) so you can get two shots juxtaposed in one frame. Worth = cost per roll of film eh?
110 film
Use the teeny weeny itsy bitsy Ikimono Camera for everything in between. Compact cameras brought to a whole new level altogether! This nifty little fella does not come with built-in flash, although it has a conventionally shaped brother with flash: the SuperHeadz Ikimono camera here.
To get a leg up into the world of espionage, get yourself a SuperHeadz Secret Book Camera. It's a really cute idea and I love the way you wield the camera for a photo. Totally awesome disguised on a bookshelf, don't you think?
Fisheye
Lomography Fisheye Cameras in pink, blue, green, white (UO exclusive) and b&w graphic! Bright colours to cheer up your day. I'm not the hugest fan of Lomos, but I do like the quirkiness of fisheyes! Uses 35mm and has a built-in flash. Good enough for most? (:
Pinhole
Your primary school science project gone up a notch, the Pin Hole Camera Kit seems to involve the same hours of endless fun. Again, the DIY features strongly (relive the elementary days much, yo?) and the promised results seem nice. Conveniently uses any 35mm film.
The Quart Paint Pinhole Camera seems to be a contraption that provides edutainment in the language Photographish. It is apparently simple to operate: 1. cover pinhole with enclosed shutter, 2. pop in any unrolled film--35mm is good to go, 3. close the lid, 4. remove the shutter and 5. wait.
All Cameras are available on the Urban Outfitters website, my absolute favourite time-wasting window-shopping website!!! SO MANY THINGS (I DON'T NEED) BUT SO LITTLE KACHING (I NEED).
I dug up a Nikon F55 (with AF Zoom-Nikkor 28-80mm f/3.3-5.6G) and also received an adorable Disderi 3 Lens Robot for my birthday last year (: both use 35mm (surprise surprise, jajaja) film. Will bust them out once exams are over in 2 weeks!!! Looking forward to it (((((:
Can't wait,
All my love
