Feels Like Home

Feel rather itchy-mouthed, but didn't bring any of my snacks out today. The free lunch was rather horrible... I think it would've been better if I had eaten school food instead. (Yes, that's how bad it was.) Trying to resist the post-lunch stupor, but the stupid school connection isn't helping. I can't listen to any music on Youtube, can't sign in to messenger, can't find all the stuff I need. Unbelievable. It has been so unreliable lately, that I couldn't even Skype last week. Had to resort to MSN's video calling, which is terrible. Also feeling itchy to go shopping and hit up town to run some errands.. Evidently, I failed again to accomplish anything over the weekend. Bah.

Had lunch at Shabuya at Vivocity on Saturday, devouring I think >30+ servings of meat--Kurobuta, Angus and Wagyu--and several generous helpings of assorted vegetables this time. Definitely consumed more than the we did the first time (quite some time back, when it was about SGD 35 including taxes). It was EPIC, man. The price was about SGD 40 per person (nett). Good deal, still! The sashimi was better this time round, too (: yumyum. Note that there is a 100 minute time limit. Service was prompt and the servers were helpful. We managed to customise our steamboat soup base--sending back the shoyu--and requested for the extra sauces e.g. sesame shabu sauce. But the sauce tasted weird this time round. The vegetable sauce which they provide by default is still good, and certainly was good enough for me. We found a caterpillar on our mushrooms, which was rather amusing.. Hehehe. The quality of everything was better this time round. Quite pleased. Was super satisfied! They also provided us with complimentary peach and sesame mochi.. Specially for Brother and I! :D can't believe I didn't write about this place the first time round.. I thought I did. Hurhur.

The wonderful view from our seats at Shabuya. You can see Resorts World Sentosa (:

Didn't manage to use up my vouchers for the Creative Eateries group--which also includes Al Dente Trattoria at Holland Village... which I might patronise tomorrow--at Shabuya, because it was only applicable to a la carte items. Whee. Don't bother with Siam Kitchen, I would much rather eat at Thai Express anyday.

On the bright side, Black Angus is tentatively pencilled in for this Wednesday. And there's French tomorrow, which I'm semi-dreading. Every lesson brings me closer to the end ): and also, the imminent tests--both written and oral.. And the written component includes a useless cultural element that I've to memorise. BANE.
