Two Wrongs Don't Make A Right

It's been a long time since I've posted. I'm sorry for the hiatus, but my laptop died on me. I managed to send it in for repair before I left, but when I came back I had to rush some work--unsuccessfully through no fault of mine, but more on that later--thanks to it crashing several times and ergo, lost data. Sigh.

Anyway, this week is not turning out to be a good one. Pretty much everything else has been going swimmingly before now, but I've had 2 fails in quick succession.

Firstly, the work that I was rushing was rejected. I had responsibly given early warning that my laptop had crashed/work was lost and I would re-do it when I got my laptop back and after I returned from my trip. It was not an unreasonable amount of time left for me. Further, I had said that they could do up some backup layouts and if I could not finish in time, then it was fair for them to use it. Of course, they wanted to cut me out since apparently I have not contributed anything tangibly material. I agreed, of course, since I was already on the bus out of town.

Anyway, I had completed more than half by the deadline stipulated for the drafts this week--not even the final deadline--but it turns out that they had gone ahead without me and submitted the finalised version anyway, cutting me out of the credits. That's not being fair is it? Especially if mine is not a shoddy job, possibly even nicer. Sigh. Too late, I guess. I feel so wronged.

Secondly, ASOS refuses to refund my postage returns costs, even though it is exceedingly high because of them, simply because they had told me not to return the faulty items. What the hell?? Anyway, I keep e-mailing them repeatedly because otherwise the value of my refund is practically zero because the postage was so high that it negated the refund value. 'tis a damn stupid situation, basically.

Anyway, I'm not going to bother about those things anymore ): hard lessons to learn, I suppose. So I'm not going to responsibly give notice of the possibility that I might not complete my work; and I won't shop online anymore--no more exceptions. Bleargh. I shall not let them get me down!

In happier news, I've SGD 59.90 worth of credit at Zara because I'm getting my shrunken dress exchanged for something else because they can't get the same replacement dress. Don't quite know what to pick, I'm pretty sure the colourful angora blend sweater I wanted to get on sale is no longer available.

Will blog about the trip separately, once I've gotten all my photos and stuff settled. Still procrastinating fixing my Canon.. I'm going to bum this week away, too tired in every aspect ):
