I feel like avoiding town for the moment thanks to all the flooding that went on today, but I think it's near impossible. Will have to make the most of a trip there. Sigh. Trying to fit Karate Kid and shopping together is quite daunting, especially when the movie timings are awkward. Mmm. Firstly, I've to decide where to shop: confined to Somerset, restricted to Orchard, begin at the former and make my way down to the latter or vice versa. Then, I've to choose between eastern (Ippudo) or western (Cedele) for dinner and/or lunch. Muh! The later part of the programme will likely depend on that choice because on one end is Cineleisure and Ippudo; and the other, Lido and Cedele. To make things even more difficult, I can't figure if the movie should be before or after dinner.
How is one supposed to plan when everything is so near but you're too lazy to walk up and down, yet too stingy to take a bus ("if it's so near why should I pay so much???"), and everything is mood-dependent and therefore flexible?
Possible battle strategies:
- Start early. Commence at Somerset and work way down to Ippudo (lunch) and then onwards to Cedele and Lido.
Cons: wake up early. - Start later. Commence at Orchard and work way down to Ippudo and Cineleisure.
Cons: forgo Somerset. - Start later. Commence at Somerset and work way up to Ippudo and Cineleisure.
Cons: forgo Orchard. - Start late. Head to Cedele and Lido.
Cons: limited shopping.
Alternatively, I could just ask my friend what he prefers and that might solve my dilemma.... Ok, it doesn't. Because I veto-ed what he wanted to eat and it's at Dhoby Ghaut. Last problem: to drive or not to drive? When in doubt, don't.
ARGH. I give up. I shall just work on rubber time and wing it tomorrow. Want to sleep. Picasa is taking forever today. Photoshop isn't even in contemplation. Meh.
XO
