I'm Still Breathing

I have a love/hate relationship with Katy Perry--annoyingly catchy cheeky pop--love was winning out, until I heard the above title and now I'm practically a convert. It's depressing and heartwrenching but I love it.

Work on my room is finally getting under way, as the last bits of the "final" summer slip away. Redecorating is so difficult! Fortunately or unfortunately, I'll be away when most of the work has to be done? I love my new standing fan, though it's scarily flimsy! Semi-regretting not getting all white furniture. Pfft. Hope everything turns out nice in the end.

Kota Kinabalu is in less than 4 days and I'm semi-excited, semi-panicky (currently feeling like the glass is half panic more than half excitement).

In other news, the weather has been alternately cold and hot. It still won't let me swim, so I haven't swum all summer -.- I swear someone up there hates me--it pours when I've to run around and do errands, do any sort of sports; but swelters when I have to stay home without air-conditioning.

My measly paycheck finally came in the mail today (: (: (: bak chor mee tomorrow morning, then reporting in the afternoon for the hairshow, and then I've got a sleepover. Gonna be so tired!

Shall try to begin packing so that I can get anything I might still need over the weekend. Hmmm. Fighting the craziness that's been urging me to buy everything that I probably don't need for the trip e.g. water filter, headlamps, waterproof pouches..

Slowly reading The Unbearable Lightness of Being, finally gave in and bought it. Brother abetted me! He's been book-crazy lately. We also bought The Girl With The Dragon Tattoo, inter alia.

Mambo on Wednesday was.... good for a while. Hahaha. But then the alcohol wore off only too rapidly. What a waste of money \: high metabolism = fail. Don't think I'll be going again anytime soon.

SCHOOL IS STARTING AOIMLGRFA )))): my room had better be completed by then, I have an intensive module once the semester commences i.e. gotta hit the ground running. Sigh. It's going to be so weirdddddd. My last year in college as an undergrad. How time flies!

Hunting for a new laptop with no success. Pleh. Toshiba has spoilt me and this year's matriculation deals suck.
