Reclaim It

Somehow every outing I have turns into shopping. My tea date turned into a walk around the mall, turned into shopping. Hahaha. Liked a couple of pairs of shoes (no luck with size 3s for sale shoes, and no affordable new shoes) and some dresses, but truly fell head over heels for a newly-arrived dress at Topshop--the mint Petite one-shoulder ruched dress (below). It's not really mint green... more of a very sheer, diluted Tiffany's blue bandage layer on a thick, white bodycon base. It's really pretty, but sexy at the same time because it hugs every bit of curve and yet isn't obscenely short. Perfect for me because it was machine washable, too. Looked suuuuper good on, but the only problem was the zip popped up at the side. You can see it in the photo on the website, too, on the right side. It can be adjusted but once you move it'll slide up and stick out again like an obscure lump of imaginary fat. Oh well ): was quite reasonable at SGD 109 before a 10/15% discount. There're also a million other beautiful dresses (on the website) that I wish I could own. The summer collection is really lovely with tons of frocks for every occasion. I could live in their dresses alone :D super comfy x machine washable (bodycon + jersey + swishy/flirty) = forever.

Tried on the F21 floral dress again. Got even more tempted to buy it and then alter it. I'm crazy for the print! Having floral cravings. Haha. Gravitating to many floral things, especially bikinis. Boo ): speaking of bikinis, I also really want to buy more basic ones from Victoria's Secret. Maybe if I go to the US (:

Tried a new froyo place at Vivocity, Yigloo, recommended by my girlfriend's cousin. It's at the basement, where all the food is, opposite Asian Kitchen. The decor is a poor attempt at being cute, which is the trend for such places frequented by the young and trendy (for lack of a better word). The furniture is... meant for toddlers or something. It's quite difficult for adults to find comfortable seating if you wish to eat there. Anyway, they had a good selection of flavours. There were 6 options today: natural tart, wild strawberry, blueberry, pomegranate with acai berry, cookies & cream and dark chocolate. The dark chocolate was not very nice, and the cookies & cream was a bit weird. The strawberry was too milky and had no strawberry taste, and the blueberry was quite ok. The natural tart was normal, and the pomegranate was the best by far. It had a faint pomegranate taste which was pleasant and mild. I think I still prefer Red Mango. If you like sweet froyo, try Marble Slab Creamery at Iluma. Prices were SGD 4.50, 5.50 and 6.50 for small, medium and large cups respectively. I guess the best part of Yigloo is that you get FREE TOPPINGS. Yes, that's right. Anything you like, as much as you like (without refill). You can choose from.... a lot of stuff. From sunflower seeds--my favourite--and granola, to diced kiwis, strawberries, mango, honeydew and fresh blueberries, to colourful cornflakes/cereal, chocolate chips and nata de coco jelly... Endless permutations. However, they tend to fill your cup soooo full of yogurt that you don't have much space left for freebies. I don't know if it's a good or bad thing--depends on what you like more, I guess. Haha. Their froyo melts pretty quickly, and not all the consistencies were right. The dark chocolate and cookies & cream were a little runny.

Had a good day with my girlfriend. Had my fill of frozen yogurt and a spot of shopping, which was really fun! I had forgotten how fun it could be with the right people. We had a moment of shopping telepathy and picked out the same thing in different sizes off the "Grab It Now Before It's Gone!" rack to show each other. Hehehe. And to end it all, Nadal is Wimby championnnnnn. Vamos Rafa! Woohoo :D my 2 favourites both cruising to the title. Whoopee!!

Happy 4th of July, y'all (:

Love xx
