This week's shoe picks! Heehee. Especially that last print. Didn't see it, but I probably wouldn't be able to pull it off anyway, being as tanned as I am (sucks!). I did, however, see this crazy high wooden platform sandal (like..... stripper high HEHE) that I will indulge in..... if the price is right--helloooo birthday month/outlet store..... :D teehee (; totally whimsical. Hehehehe. They do update their stores and website so frequently... (:

Shoes everywhere this season have been what I always wanted. Construction boots in thick leather, so masculine with short, sturdy shafts and chunky heels; clean simple booties, oxfords and brogues, monks and kiltie shoes; and the military trend is just reaching its peak in mass market. I realised that everything--clothes, bags, accessories--I wanted is just finally beginning to surface in stores when I'm already over them. Vintage, "fastenings" details, clean, simple silhouettes, flared pants etc. Things that I have loved all along (: my aesthetic but not quite my prices.

That said, I increasingly find myself paying full price for things because sometimes things I want never go on sale, or my "patience" cost me the acquisition of a new piece I longed so much for. More and more often, I hold out for that perfect item--perfect including price--but yield to an item that is close to perfect save for its tag.. Given, it's actually not unreasonable. But still, it is against my principles. Sigh. I always end up feeling guilty.

I gave up on the black ribbon back Pedros, a couple of Martina Pink heels (near perfect tan leather mary janes and retro striped white pumps) and also the Warehouse cape (which I look ridiculous in). Still thinking about the waterfall jacket (infra, with dreamy Ferragamos). I'm pretty close to getting Warehouse membership, so I might go back there soon. Mmm. Shall limit myself to sale items this time. Mango and Zara still have much allure, but not quite as much since I'm feeling very guilty ):

I did manage to hand over my jewelled sandals for repair at Tangs today... (Gotta love that store (: great service, always!) And wandered around window shopping with Brother today after satisfying my Marmalade Pantry crabmeat linguine craving. So many lovely things. Bags, shoes, watches... (: throw in a little light reading = sheer bliss.... Totally surreal weekend (: dreading school tomorrow, pfft.

Am somehow still want for shopping.. (WHUT! I know right??) But much less so. Feeling inclined to sticking strictly by my principles this time. Makes it that much more challenging/satisfying.

This shall continue, but not unadulterated. Will attempt a good balance of work and play (: have errands to run this week. Mmmm. So thankful for friends who keep me sane (:
