Chicken of the Sea

Jessica Simpson's eponymous apparel line is killing me. Plenty of nice shoes. Remember the thick wooden heel, black leather peep-toe platform t-bars from VS which I posted the other day? Well, the Dany is "exclusive" to VS--in the sense that it's only available on the VS website--but this ruched leather sandal is not, and it's discounted on the Jessica Simpson Collection website. I'm also admiring this really affordable sweet bow sandal in black suede or red snake, this classic plain leather bootie in any or all of the 4 colours and this fierce strappy/wrapped wedge in fog grey (more of a taupe) rather than black shiny nappa, though I wouldn't mind the latter....... and a couple more other shoes. They're roughly ranked in order of urgency of owning them. Doooooomed!

Admittedly, though, the colour options are mind boggling: "FOG GREY BURNISHED BABY SHEEP" (Eww, this sounds damn morbid), "BLACK SHNY INTNSE NAPPA" (Whoa you're so... all intnse and shny tht you cnt use ny vwls), "CHILI STAMPED LAND SNAKE" (Seriously, you couldn't use any hyphens?! They don't exist on your keyboard??), "BLACK NEW BOMBER" (This sounds vaguely politically incorrect. Harrumph. Inappropriate use of "bomber". Disapprove!) and "WINE SHEEP GOAT" (Errr, what colour does this describe again?!). You do not, I repeat, do not make up something cool by stringing a few random nouns together. If there's any input from Ms. Simpson, you can bet it'll be the choice of leather/colour. Thankfully, I don't think she contributes much in terms of shoe designing, though the clothes and accessories leave much to be desired.....

To top it all of, I cannot get these Colin Stuart removable faux fur cuff wedge lace-up booties out of my head. Both colours are beautiful! Kill me now, please.
