Gimme Gimme Gimme A Man After Midnight

Half past twelve
And I'm watching the late show in my flat all alone
How I hate to spend the evening on my own
Autumn winds
Blowing outside my window as I look around the room
And it makes me so depressed to see the gloom

Movie stars
Find the end of the rainbow, with a fortune to win
It's so different from the world I'm living in
Tired of T.V.
I open the window and I gaze into the night
But there's nothing there to see, no one in sight

There's not a soul out there
No one to hear my prayer

Gimme gimme gimme a man after midnight
Won't somebody help me chase the shadows away
Gimme gimme gimme a man after midnight
Take me through the darkness to the break of the day

Brother and I ate my friend (and the waitress) into shock at the sheer amount.

Us: We would like to order more dishes please.
Waitress: Ok, what would you like?
Us: 5 plates of beef, 5 plates of pork, 3 plates of cabbage, 2 plates of mushr...
Waitress: Are you for real???
Us: ... Yes.
Waitress: Ok... 5 plates of beef, 5 plates of pork, 2 plates of what?
Us: (carry on listing)...
Waitress: Wait wait wait, I'll need to write all of this down.

-.-

Steps/Tips:
  • Prioritise: food selection, mealtime, budget, value?
  • Mealtime or budget wins = IMM; food selection or value wins = Holland Village
  • Skip the spicy soup bases
  • Read the menu in Chinese, because the translation is horrid
  • Order lots of vege e.g. Jin Cai, Dong Gua to sweeten the soup
  • Don't mix land food with sea food
  • Don't wolf it down, but don't stop eating. Remember: slow and steady
  • Don't gulp your drinks excessively

Btw, Amanda Seyfried's Don't Go Wasting Your Emotions is awesome too (;

Gotta love ABBA
