It's been hectic the past few days. Just been running about madly and collapsing into bed everytime I get home. Finally got a chance to update.
Harry Potter was surprisingly good in terms of acting. Everyone was consistent and on par with one another and the script was well-written too. Great directing certainly helped with that. Pacing was good too and it didn't lose momentum - although I might have liked it to have a bit more of a climax - or focus. My biggest gripe was that the movie was too brief an instalment - it ran for only about 2h 15m instead of the supposed 2h 34m runtime - and I was left feeling shortchanged/hanging when it ended. All in all, it was a well-edited version of the storybook. Would be best though, as always, if you didn't revisit the book before watching. Ooh, the young cast is so charming. Makes me wish I could be a calefare!!! I'd do it for free :D the manslut Cormac McLaggen (Freddie Stroma) is pretty cute and terribly funny. Heehee. And it goes without saying that Emma Watson is super pretty+hot+smartish = phweet! (;
Was not pleased with Ballet Under The Stars (BUTS). Too many NUS items! The SDT dancers were as usual, not bad. Ginny Gan was good, though. Love her legs! The late Goh Choo San's piece was definitely breathtaking. I was enthralled the whole time and couldn't take my eyes off the stage and the dancers. The music was good (lots of piano = win), and the choreography was wow... Really legendary. It was like I was transported out of the crowded, hot, icky, park to somewhere in the velvety sky, a gentle breeze blowing me along as I watch the black and white stars dance in wonderment. Wow. Just, wow. I had to miss the premiering item "POP!" though, in order to rush to the airport to send my dear friend off. Thankfully, the tickets we had were student-priced otherwise I'd definitely be ranting. As it is, I'm already not a very satisfied customer. Pardon me, however, if you were involved in it. I have several friends I did not know would be performing or doing stuff (Sound Engineer, yo). I miss dancing!
Heard that Journey to the West is very good and it was good indeed. Acrobatics = yay. Sometimes I wish my parents had sent me to acrobatics school like those kiddies in China I see on Discovery. But it's empty words. Probably would loathe it because it's so difficult, but you never know.
I've somewhat decided on something for after graduation. It's not so much a path as something to do in the meantime that I think I might enjoy. Simultaneously, it should allow me to save up a substantial amount for further studies. Until I decide what it is...
