One Of A Kind

When I got off the plane in Hong Kong, alighted from the cab at the wonderful swanky condominium on Old Peak Road, my friend said that Michael Jackson died while we were on the flight here. We were like, "No way!!! Is it a hoax? Are you for real?" and he was like, "Hahahaha. I'm not pulling your leg!" But we didn't believe him until we switched on the telly and he was everywhere, non-stop. We went to HMV and he was right there at the front of the store. Crazy fast salespeople.

Now that he's gone, he's really the stuff of legend.

It really goes without saying that I miss him too. He was phenomenal and totally amazing. As a dancer, I have utmost respect for him. As a musician, his music was the awesomest shiz. As a person, he was so loving and trusting that he got taken advantage of. In a weird way, it was good that he died because all his shows sold out so he knew that people still loved him despite all the bad stuff in the media.

He is and always will be an inspiration to us all. He transcended all boundaries; he was the grey between the divides.
