Had to miss a party for it, but it was a short and sweet trip. Bought back a couple of sticks of Bubble Yum + Hershey, bottle and a half of Wrigley's, and a rested mind. The boot was also filled with coconuts, pineapples and mangoes on the journey back. Spent most of the 24 hours sleeping, chilling, letting my mind go blank and other non-activities along those lines. Haha. It was pretty much eating seafood and exotic meat (ostrich - tender but super chewy, wild boar - delicious as always) non-stop since there wasn't really anything else to do. Apart from an 'event' and a pretty much sleepless night I had a good time and plenty of coconut juice.
No gorgeous photos, unfortunately. Just plain glimpses:
From L-R: enjoying fresh coconut juice... delicious es cendol in the hot hot heat; random dirty roadside stalls seem to have the best food... hanging around before dinner... thick, cushy, crunchy grass... Singapore ships enjoying free parking off the Malaysian coast... the seaview in the backyard !!!!... laughing about Good Omens with the brother, who is simultaneously reading and birthing at the chillest place in the house -.-... schizophrenic weather on the way home - rainy but super sunny; raindrops casting polka dot shadows on the dashboard... the sea through the coconut trees, just 100m away from the window... waking up to the excruciatingly beautiful weather on Sunday... attempting (to teach) yoga on the nice green lawn... the classic wooden house, just like the good ol' days (y)...
I wish now that I'd taken pictures of the funny chickens that ran around the compound. Should've charged my camera! ):
I lived in my ripped redone distressed diy jeans over the weekend? Accidentally ripped the knee a bit. Stretched them out quite a bit too, but they're still kinda tight. Might have to carry out Operation YKK although I'm terrified of failure because that would mean a major "Howdy, pardner!" wardrobe malfunction....very awful.
Anyway, I got a random phone call while I was in class this evening.... only to get home and return the call but find that there's no way to get a dial tone and the call is "not allowed" - because it's probably not in use anymore. And when I google the number, I find that it was the old SIA Service Center at Paragon (now moved) and the number was not retained. [cue spooky music] WHUT??? Mystifying!
Had emo bouts again today, still pretty debilitating. You have no idea, man. Seriously. Sigh. I'm still missing a big chunk of me.
I'll put up more doodles soon-ish, no promises. Time to force myself to do some work.
