Here're the overdue sketches, in the meantime:
What I Wanted To Wear
Some black tank or bodysuit
DIY cutoff shorts with exposed pockets and back pocket detail
Fishnet stockings (I unearthed my old pair but can't fit because they're from when I was 11/20kg/120cm or something)
Tie-high ponytail I'm so obsessed with lately...rediscovering my scrunchie
Sky-high wedges that're sort of like Topshop's and the chunky Dries' I tried on in HK
What I Wore to Brunch
Charcoal grey oversized slouch t-shirt, Calvin Klein (stolen from Brother)
Butterfly buckle black elastic belt, Sinma Jewellery (Mother's)
Black pencil elasticised skirt, Arithalia
Black peeptoe flats, Dorothy Perkins
Grey bag with chain shoulder strap, Marta Marzotto (not shown)
Really would've liked a higher waisted, more fitted pencil skirt but made do. Decided to tuck in the back and out the front with a belt worn back to front to add detail and emphasize the small of my back. Felt a little dark and moody that day, and really wanted to wear heels and my Uniqlo wide-brimmed hat but practicality won over because I had to walk up the hill to school.
Dark was appropriate seeing as the topic of our discussions wasn't anything bright and cheery. But Cedele was definitely comforting (I know I've said it n times already!). Tried the rosti, for a change. Delicious and savoury. Totally unlike the Marche version you may be familiar with. This one is rectangular slices of potato as opposed to strips, and is much drier, crispier and tastier. Eggs on the side (I chose scrambled as usual) were very eggy and totally satisfying. I could barely stop myself when I gobbled down half to swop the rosti for pancakes with my friend.
Hearing stories about boys being jerks - adding to my own repertoire - is making me wonder: I ought to be cynical? Something ended before it began. Fate will take its natural course. Don't be afraid to break away, love. Never worry about being unlovable, although you're tempted to. Even if boys don't love you, I will.
xx
