Yellow

Ok, so what did I wear yesterday? A quick recap of a simple outfit: white fitted short-sleeved shirt (H&M) and Mom's vintage black high-waisted skirt (no brand) with the black low-heeled pumps with gold detail at the heel (Bally). Didn't bother bringing a jacket because I had so many things to carry including my blue Courreges with the shedding handles. Heh. Felt like busting out of the skirt after lunch because it was so unforgiving. There's no room for food, and that's one thing I'll never be able to give up! No question about it.

Today I slipped on my black tulip-skirt faux wrap dress (ASOS) and sick/nasty/favourite triple-strapped ankle boots (Fabio Rusconi) and ran out the house in a feeble attempt to reach early enough for a leisurely breakfast that didn't happen. Hazardously grabbed a random light-coloured (beige/khaki?) vintage one-button padded-shoulder jacket (from Mother, also New Line) from my outerwear clothes rail. Had nary a quick glance in the mirror and thought it looked fine, so I gave in to Mother's nagging to leave earlier.

Haven't had a chance to wear my greys yet, but I will soon (: I had planned for this Friday's dress down opportunity, my Agnes B. oversized (literally) silk blouse + Warehouse black vest + shorts + maybe black tights to decent-ise my outfit, only to come across this today:

Better luck next time, dude.

Now I'm going to look like a copycat! How can I even be compared to Rumi! Although it would be most flattering, certainly.... One can dream! (In truth, I sometimes like thinking of myself as a pirated version, coincidentally complete with my very own Cat x: teehee) But for sure, mine would only be the "realistic" (euphemism!) version of this look. I do not have the luxury of a leather clothing. Additionally, it is impractical in our climate.

I once found a pale green super-soft-and-luxe leather vest at Agnes B. which was nearly perfect, but couldn't afford it at a couple of hundred dollars after a giant discount. (Keeping it real, guys. I am not privileged.) Couldn't bear to put it down, along with another pair of velvet bloomers. Wuh. Sad. But truly, Agnes B. is underrated. Though it may be overpriced, it's all relative. I like it for its subtle, understated basics with a tinge of quirkiness.

I lament the fact that I can only dress down once a week. And anyway, I'm going to court so that's out the window already. But whoopee for going to court!

My computer's being a falnkeww409. It keeps turning yellow and because most of my interface is blue, it makes me feel like I'm on Mars (although technically, it is the Red Planet). Oh hey, it just changed back to white and it looks extra white to the point of appearing blue now. Oh my eyes, my poor eyes.
