Happy Fathers' Day

Mother is still afflicted with Rubella so we had to cancel celebratory lunch plans at The Ship. However, being a naughty old lady, she snuck out to buy back dinner with Dad from our usual Japanese restaurant -.- at any rate, she'll have to sneak out again tomorrow since she has an extra 2 days of medical leave.

Brunch with the girlies at Oomphatico's yesterday was pleasant (: the food was pretty good, though a little salty when cold. I had the Duck Confit Hash (with poached eggs) but also sampled my friends' Banana Waffles, Scrambled Eggs with Smoked Salmon, Mixed Grill and Eggs Benedict. We also had pots of English Breakfast Tea (I didn't try) and Honeydew Green Tea with Apricot (aromatic but tasted normal). Service was quite alright, and in the morning we pretty much had the entire place to ourselves. I think what really left an indelible impression on me was the cherry tomatoes that accompanied the grill. They were perfectly round and ripe and burst delightfully in your mouth with the right balance of tartness, tomato flavour and natural sweetness. Will post photos when my friend uploads. Didn't bring a camera because my bag was too tiny. Gee.

Sun With Moon on Friday was... normally good, if you get what I mean. Picked up my mascaras (exciting) and facewash (smells divine), presented him with the cute leather Mini Schnauzer handphone accessory which he semi-raved over (perhaps to please me) and received a surprise alphabet keychain from Disneyland in return (: felt good to talk, like old times. So glad you're back! Pity I didn't have time for dessert. Date again soonnnn.

Headed off for Dance, Subaru! after dinner and I must say that I was expecting it to be worse. Hehe. Although the editing was not that subtle, it was not cringe-worthy... mostly. Hahaha. Some sequences, I would even venture so far as to say that it was moving. My brother's favourite character was the lead, Miyamoto Subaru, but I preferred Liz Park. The young Subaru and her brother were so cute, hehe. Well-worth the movie ticket. Transformers opens this Tuesday. Can't wait :D Megan Fox looks hot.
