And I Wake To Find That You're Not There

Bangkok was not fruitful, least of all in shopping terms. Everyone seems to be appalled when I tell them I only managed to buy 2 pieces of clothing (which I didn't think were all that cheap/great). I just didn't feel safe walking around alone, and the rest weren't quite so interested in shopping. My brother wouldn't have minded accompanying me, except that he's lame - literally. But overall, it was good hanging out. Still not quite used to their style of holidaying: chilling, eating, chilling, sitting down, getting a drink, snacking, eating, watching telly in the hotel... you get the idea. I didn't even get to go to Chatuchak market.. which might explain why I couldn't nab any bargains.

Some photos from the recent trip to ease my conscience a little:

Clockwise from top left: ZOMG O: we look alike; the amazing view from a rooftop bar; (: the great company; roomies!

I'd better get used to their travelling style because I foresee several more trips coming up - Bali, Taiwan, and maybe Hong Kong again. 2010 is possibly going to be indulgent.

Trying my best not to wear the dresses till the Lunar New Year because I'm really too lazy to brave the throngs and hunt down new outfits, so you'll just have to wait for them to debut sometime in late February. I do have a strong urge to go thrifting, though. And it just so happens my friend who can go thrifting with me is back! (:

School thus far is really kind of heavy. I hope I can cope. Sigh. French is turning out to be more fun than I expected, and I'm really enjoying it. The other modules are killing me, pretty much. Japanese is more of a pain in the butt now, though, which is rather surprising.

Cat is in hospital because his paw got infected after getting wounded - I told Dad long ago but he wouldn't listen - from an ingrown toenail ): home is lonely without him. And to top off the horrible weekend/weekstart, my Rafa retired. My home internet still refuses to work. Dang. So, I'm in school at this unearthly hour....

I'm supposed to be preparing my seminar for... today. Shit.
