And The Days Feel Like Years When I'm Alone

So I tried out Fat Boy's - the Burger Bar at Upper Thomson for dinner last night. It was suggested by a friend the other day. We arrived at around 6pm, and it wasn't crowded or anything. We shared smoked bacon sausages, and I had the bleu peppercorn burger (SGD 10.50++) while brother had an upsized wimpy fat basterd (SGD 12.50++) and a vanilla malt shake. Everything failed--my patty was too peppery, there was no cheese in my burger, fries were soggy, bacon was overfried and the quality of ingredients was simply sub-par. Even the vanilla shake was lousy. Needless to say, the prices aren't justified at all. I won't be going back there to eat.. ever. Rang up a total bill of SGD 40. I could've eaten at Relish--or a million other better burger places (like Botak Jones', Wendy's, Carl's Junior, Burger Shack... maybe Burger Bench & Bar by Wild Rocket, but I haven't tried it yet)--for that amount. It might not sound very believable, but I honestly think Carl's Junior's ingredient quality surpasses that of the "coolest burger joint in town". I tried to be kind, but brother said that they're not going to survive... and I'd be hardpressed not to agree |: business was a little slow even though it was a weekend evening.

Craving for Tonkichi pretty badly, but feel so guilty for spending lots of money. Also, I found out where Le Bon Marche is when I took a bus the other day (!!! Yes, I took a bus instead of driving). AND I still haven't gotten the opportunity to try Jones the Grocer or Black Angus. Boo ):

All this eating is making my wallet real skinny and my waist real fat ): tennis got cancelled because of the rain today. The weather was perfect for sleeping in, but I dragged my bum out (to the most horrible dinner in recent times) for a lesson that never happened. Zzz. Overcoming inertia is just so hard.

Found out about Zee Avi's gig today and got tickets.. Quite excited about my first intimate gig (: I am, however, not looking forward to the expenditure. Oh well. On an unrelated note, I miss having a dog.. though Cat is still really entertaining. I love him, but puppies are just so fluffy and enthusiastic and joyful.

Tonight's London football derby was a fail. Ugh. And I ended up watching Q3 of the qualifiers and reading the entire page of drivers today, despite proclaiming that I'd boycott F1 this season. Maybe I'm just curious to see how screwed up it'll all be... That must be it. Haha d:

OMG, exams are coming very very veryyyy soon. I have absolutely no idea why, but I feel like this semester is super duper short.
