Playing Ketchup

True to form, I've been insanely sleeping at 5/6am for the past week, catching up on my Maid-sama! in both anime and manga forms. I must find raw versions of the latter because scanlated ones just aren't good enough. Oh well.

Managed to head down to the PC Show today, got my hands on a Seagate 1TB portable HDD for a decent deal (I hope): SGD 225 with a free pouch thrown in (haggled for it, saved a marginal SGD 2.90) :D fortunately, I took a lunch break--greedy me, as usual--and came back to find to my delight that the price had taken a 10% plunge from 250 to 225, with 3 years international warranty. Much more reasonable, don't you think! (: Compared to the one I wanted from Western Digital, which was significantly smaller and sleeker--SGD 219.90 for the same capacity (only comes in black, which is fine), an ugly sleeve and 3 years warranty with first year international--I chose Seagate because I think it's more reliable, yet ironically I also chose it because of the 3 year international warranty. Hahaha. Oh well. Life's like that--full of contradictions. Decided against buying a thumbdrive, especially since I didn't have any money on me. I guess I could always go back between now and Sunday!

Shall play with my new toy tomorrow! :D then I can finally get round to returning my friend's portable HDD.. Additionally, I can now steal showsss. WHEE. The original plan was to go swimming tomorrow... Remains to be seen if the weather'll permit. I think my post-dinner appointment for tomorrow isn't going to happen. So what's new right? Haha. World Cup opener tomorrow! (Yeah, yeah. Everything's "tomorrow".) Somehow, I'm not really excited. Alsooo, we didn't subscribe to cable for it either.. So we can only watch tomorrow's match and the semis and final on free-to-air. Come to think of it, I'm even more excited about Wimbledon than I am for World Cup -.-" rather far away.

Bizarrely, I saw people who looked like my cousins at East Coast yesterday. Then, today I think I saw another cousin for real at a busstop while I was on the bus. I DON'T WANT TO SEE THEMMMM. Boo.

Got some stuff done this week, feeling a little pleased. Sent out a half-hearted application for a temp job.. If that doesn't work out, I can always do research--pays better. Haha. In a pretty good mood, overall (:

Things're so much easier if you just decide to do it. Always a choice, I believe. Must go shopping next week.
