Phuture was horrible and Zouk was pretty good, but everything could've been much better with drinks. Stayed almost till the lights came on then went for a quick munch before heading home. Total expenditure for the night was 1.30 on a drink at supper... Saving is good (: music was.... bad at Phuture and decent for a while at Zouk. Was really quite tempted to run away for supper with the rest of the peeps who'd abandoned clubbing. Sad.
Smeared on some foundation in a hurry to get out of the house, only to discover that I did a glaringly bad job under the harsh scrutiny of a flash. Boooooo ): also, I think I need a new colour since I'm back to being tanned and not avoiding the sun no more. Was quite pleased with my mascara--although a little smudgy (if you have oily eyelids) at times, it generally stays/holds curl well and looks natural. 1 coat is usually sufficient, 2 coats makes it pretty luscious. Really hating on my skin. Just want to clear up my complexion!!! Sigh. I also discovered that I am lacking a red, preferably matte, lipstick, a good un-pink blush and maybe a cream concealer. Mmm. Should go shopping someday.
Mother is doing spring-cleaning by herself, and I feel quite bad because I had intended to help. She unearthed all my ancient toys and I must admit that I'm unusually attached to my Polly Pocket!!! But I'm going to give it away. I hope we can finish everything before school starts. Must call up Ikea soon.
Badminton on Tuesday was fun! I'd forgotten how good it feels to exercise, even though I am super unfit. I doubly injured that toenail because I forgot that it was injured and dashed forward to retrieve the shuttlecock, jamming it in the process, but it was ok because after draining the fluid, the nail still looked alive. Well, not anymore anyway (supra). Now my nail is deaddddd and there's no fluid though I feel a lot of pressure under the nail. Hurts like crap! ): the dead part has lifted off the nail bed already and I think that's putting a lot of strain on the "alive" portion. Blahhh.
I get reminded of how the 'rents are thoroughly amusing on a daily basis. Gotta hand it to them. Picked up my Colombias today along with a pair of socks from Northpoint. (Kinabalu looms closer with each passing day and I pray that my toe heals quickly!!) Afterwards, we dined at the Japanese food street--Ishi Mura--which was.... edible. I had the omelette rice with beef patty (SGD 5.50) but changed my black pepper sauce to curry with no extra charge. Not bad, overall. Rice was fluffy and quite soft, and the egg was light and eggy. Oh yeah, do note that the rice is white rice, not fried rice. Brother had a chicken katsu with his omelette rice (also 5.50) but had no comments on that. We shared a side of pork belly okonomiyaki from another stall (I think it cost about 5) which was ok, too... Mom and Dad had ramen from the stall which had the most customers. I have no idea what they ordered but I think it averaged about 5+ per bowl. Dad complained that the soup was salty. Parking was amazingly cheap, 1.50 flat per entry! And there were plenty of lots.
Lunch at noon
