Leave Law School Far Behind You

I'm just so tired of everything. People being irresponsible/inconsiderate, people not caring, people hating on me. There is only so much that I can take, so much that I can give. I don't even know why I try so hard, sometimes. You tell me, honestly, if I'm trying too hard and you'd prefer it if I pissed off. I would, gladly.

Anyway, last week I went to Burger Bench and Bar (somehow I thought I'd blogged about it but I can't find the entry, which is missing along with another one). It's actually not bad. I had the student meal, which was SGD 6.50--comes with chips and a drink. Portions are comparable to that at Burger Shack, but they serve quite a measly amount of their signature chips (real potato chips, not fries). I had the curry chicken which was pretty ok. Everything was really.... average-ish, as in.... You get everything that you can expect for the price you pay.

We headed to Marble Slab afterwards to use up a voucher. 5 scoops of ice-cream with toppings--not something I would ever order if I didn't have a giant discount--normal price SGD 16.80, I think. We had almond flakes (quite addictive) with chocolate sauce (no impression) on top of Cheesecake (my handsdown favourite--tastes just like real cheesecake but is really creamy and smooth), Cookie Dough (a little sweet for my liking with no real flavour), Butter Pecan (oddly salty), Matcha (quite a good version, they have) and.... I forget the last one. Oops. Oh, oh. Mocha, I think. Or something with coffee. I didn't really eat any, but whatever little I had was alright. I was really happy with the Cheesecake--I picked that flavour, since we each got to pick one--and the rest liked it too :D somehow I think that the outlet at *Scape is better than the one near school. Oh well!

While we're still on food, Ippudo's food isn't always consistent though it's still better than average (but the Japanese staff is always hot). Nong Shim's potato pork instant noodles is not bad, but I've tired of it after a few packets (as opposed to Maggi curry which is forever good).

Have to pick up the parents, who're back from a short trip to Malaysia, so that's all I can manage for today!

P.S. today's weather was so nice that I wished I had a convertible to drive topless (the car, not me)!
