Phascination Phase

Stalking the airfares is making me all excited and queasy (in a good way). (Why is Etihad so cheap omg?? SGD 300 to Brisbane, SGD 550 to Abu Dhabi/Dubai/Bahrain and, wait for it.......... wait for it........... SGD 750 to London/Manchester/Milan/Frankfurt!!!!!! Of course these fares don't includes taxes and additional charges, but still!! Makes me feel like going everywhere but where I want to go -_-" KLM and Cathay Pacific are having promos too. I'm particularly drawn to the Japan and Europe fares. Hurhur.) It's currently hovering around 2.2k on Delta*, with still quite a lot of seats to spare. I suppose that's still reasonable (: only thing is, I'm not sure if the itinerary will allow me to spend some time in Tokyo on the way back. ANA might be a better option. Cheaper too, at about 1.8k. And then there's also the problem of accomodation. If I have to pay, that'll almost certainly bust my already-not-exactly-tight budget. GUILTTTTTTT. Ding-donging between stopping over and not. URGH. I hate making decisions/spending money. Well, sort of. Not being poor sends me on a lot of guilt trips (HAHAHA pun intended, please laugh) and demands a lot of self-control and resourcefulness--probably good training. Not being wealthy is a challenge, but then life wouldn't be so interesting if I could do whatever I like whenever I like, right? Though admittedly, spontaneity is altogether a different kind of interesting.

Half of me wishes that I could fly off right after exams--I have my luggage all figured out in my head**--which are only (JUST UNDER) 1.5 weeks away, but the other half of me wishes to stay and spend a quiet birthday. ("Spend" is right.) Not many friends will be around and I won't receive many presents this year, but at least I'll be with the ones who care (: and then there's family. That's definitely a good enough reason to stay.

Still dreaming up half of my birthday wishlist.... which includes a pair of headphones and maybe a tablet/mp3 player/entertainment device and bajillion pairs of shoes. This year is a rather expensive one.. I'm attributing it to the lack of shopping and travelling earlier this year. Heh.

Randomly, I'm irritated that my light bright blue foldable nylon shopping bag is missing. It was a present from many years ago. Argh.

Working hard at improving my skin. It's not long till party season (;

xx

P.S. Google's new online retail website, Boutique.com just launched today. I can't explore right now, but I'll be sure to check it out when exams are over! (: go play around, if you can afford to. It looks real fun and useful (:

* which has: Eclipse on in-flight entertainment; and, amazingly, wi-fi in the air (free from 20th November 2010 to 2nd January 2011, perfect!) with in-flight power. Clearly, it's easy to earn my money with gimmicks/pop. Hahahaha. To be fair, ANA's selection isn't too bad either. They also have quite a number of movies I'd like to watch (:

** it's no mean feat picking shoes to trot in fashion capitals, and limiting yourself to several pairs. TRUST ME. The choices change EVERYDAY, sometimes several times a day, without fail. Haha.
