It seems my hair is actually fairly presentable, which is great. Gotta love my hair, it's unbelievably manageable. Super thankful to have one less thing to fuss over. Or maybe I really just don't care. LoL. (Or I just don't really care. Funny how word play can alter the meanings completely. Mumbles. Just really don't care....)
Caught Burlesque yesterday, at a girlfriend's request, all the way at Nex. It's a feel good movie, not very burlesque-y... more like High School Musical but for adults. I loooooove Christina and Cher (in that order) and Cam Gigandet was super cute/hot (he looks better with guyliner, perhaps he should do pirates).
There was 水研社 Drink Tea at B2 in Nex, which I managed to find when we persisted with our bubble tea craving (organisation/directory fail). It's from Taiwan and has funny pink pearls--supposedly Roselle, which has health benefits--that are superbly chewy. The tea tastes normal. I ordered quarter sugar, but it tasted like normal sweetness of your regular Sweet Talk, but less icky. It's relatively cheap, too. I paid SGD 3.50 for a large cup of pearl milk green tea and my friend had a passionfruit green tea for SGD 4.30. It's only about 600ml for the "large", though? I'm guesstimating other places like Koi have bigger "large" cups, maybe 750ml? The medium is your average normal/small cup, and the small is quite tiny. Prices start from SGD 1.90, so go up to get better value (: if I lived in Serangoon, I'd be drinking from here more often.. though I wouldn't specially queue up for it. Service is rather slow despite lots of staff in the kitchen, but it could be due to the frequent large orders. On average, they ordered 4 (mode) or 3 (mean, median) large cups per order. Price is the ultimate factor for me, so this might beat Koi. I also think I like their pearls better.. less sweet and firmer/chewier. Definitely already has its diehard fans, I'm certain. (Just google "nex bubble tea"!)
Oh yes. I also finally found the Havaianas I've been wanting--slim but not skinny straps--at Isetan (love!) and I caved. It was SO EXPENSIVE omg, usually SGD 39.90, but it was on sale (10%) and I had additional discount (5%). Since my faithful oversized Billabongs are, I suspect, about to bite the dust and putting the slip back in slippers, it's high time I got myself a back up. What else did I get but black? Beats navy, and most other colours look horrid against my awkward skin tone. Have been wanting of late to buy obnoxious neon/luminescent shades of yellow/green (and occasionally orange) but clearly noone appreciates it like I do. Hahaha.
It was sooo nice to hang out yesterday. I think she's probably the most alike friend I have at the moment. Even though on the face of things we're totally in different places, in life, we're totally on the same page; and have always been, it seems.
Hopefully the weather stays good-ish like yesterday and today. Lots of hanging out this week, fully booked from Wednesday onwards. Weird, considering how I feel like I ought to be studying. NEXT WEEK! Hahaha.
Y U NO BUY LIP SMACKERS??
REGRETTTTTTT
I keep thinking about all the lip smackers I didn't buy. Mehhh. Now I just end up buying all the nonsense candy to mimick the flavours... which is a million times worse. SO FATTENING.
Grow, hair. Grow! I suddenly feel like having blunt bob-ish shoulder length hair... tousled and voluminous, not sleek and shiny. But 'tis impossible for me, unless I get a wig. LoL. Stupid Asian hair.... just kidding (;
X
P.S. turns out my ASOS order was in good time because most of my items have increased in price. Heh.
