Killer v. Guru

This feeling of apprehension, makes me think like I don't know what I'm doing. I just want to get this stage of my life over and done with, and then the beginning would have ended and I can start the next part afresh - although never cleanly enough. One can never go back and change anything from the start. Once it has been done, it is done.

A simple game of Polar Bear clearly illustrates that there is no turning back. You have to watch what you say, think everything through carefully. Protect yourself, protect others; work together, work against. The dynamics irrevocably shift. When night falls you may not always know what will happen.

Another of us leaves today, that leaves just 6. In 2 weeks, another will depart. In 4 weeks, one will come back. But in September, in December, there will only be 4.

OH how ironic
While trying to find a cookie picture to satisfy my cookie craving last week.

Public Enemies on Friday was pretty cool. Depp + Bale = SWEET. The cinematography wasn't half bad. Plus you can't beat the retro frocks donned by Depp's love interest. GI Joe this week!!!! I can't wait.

Brunch yesterday at Mykii (Holland Village) was pretty good. The Lazy Brunch Set menu - 11.30am to 3pm on Saturdays and Sundays - had free flow bread, free flow eggs (scrambled > omelette > sunny side up > overeasy > well done) with your brunch platter, free flow lime leaf pancakes with choice of chocolate or maple syrup after your main... What more could one ask for? The Forest Mushroom Pasta wasn't up to scratch. I could barely get through half of it before giving up. The Grilled Dory Fish Steak, I heard, was only so-so. The whole thing costs SGD 28++, usual service charges and GST to apply. If you would like it without the main, but still have all the free flow stuff - which I would suggest - then it's SGD 22++. I really liked the scrambled eggs, divinely crisp bacon and tasty sausages that came on the Brunch platter. The pancakes weren't too bad either. I preferred mine with maple syrup but the chocolate syrup isn't too sweet. The breakfast platter can be had for just SGD 16++ if you're not a big eater (: The a la carte menu actually looked pretty interesting, but I was too hungry to think or pick something that wasn't free flow. Haha.

I must have lunch at Ion's Taste Paradise sometime... Dimsum = Yum. Brother suggested next weekend but I might not be able to hold out till then.

I'm planning to stock up on accessories at Uniqlo: spectacles (a pair, or two, or three), a wide brimmed hat (maybe two), berets, caps, stoles, scarves, men's goods (or not). For 10-15 SGD each after discount, they're pretty okayly-priced.

Will try to hit the beach at least once this week. I need some easy reading, perhaps a men's mag. Men's mags >>> Ladies' mags. Teen vogue sounds good this month though.

My sucks at karaoke.
