Lovers In Japan

Had a rather angsty day today, consisting of: stupid unreasonable end-justifies-the-means rules by the government, bloody muggers slash spoil market-ers, inconsistent favourite food, waiting for trains, sitting in a stinky people sandwich almost the entire journey, another careless 19/20, unforgiving exam scheduling, Mother's bad attitude, poorly-maintained cabs making me imagine sirens in my head.

Toy Story 3 and Full Monty tomorrow. Bad organising for the movie but 'tis not at all my fault--why on Earth do they stop screening the bloody movie after only 2 weeks??! (This is one angst that carried over to today from the weekend.) Had difficulty shifting the date forward to catch it on the last day and coordinating schedules to fit a tight dinner between shows to accomodate the medstu who cancels at the last minute because of a sudden tutorial. Thankfully I didn't book or buy tickets early. Pfft.

Had Japanese for dinner again--with more 日本料理 tomorrow--this time at Ebisboshi at Iluma. Menu looked pretty cheap to affordable for the cooked food and sets--ranging from SGD 11.80 to 16.80, mostly falling in the lower half--but expensive for the sashimi and sushi--upwards of SGD 11.80 for sushi roll creations, I think. Had a ball with the coolio new-fangled electronic ordering device--a pen which scans the buttons on the seemingly ordinary menu--but the food was only mediocre to average. Mmm. Drank Koi since I had to queue with my friend anyway. Iluma's outlet has nicer pearls than the Bishan one. Think I'll just buy the normal non-milk tea with pearls next time.. It's SGD 2.50 for the large and 1.90 for the regular, cheaper by a dollar each. Their milk green tea hardly tasted different from the normal milk tea, which is probably more tea-tastic (supposedly Koi's selling point), and the quarter sugar was still quite sweet, possibly because the green tea couldn't mask it.

Off to bed, even though my hair's wet. I'm just too tired ):
