A Hairy Situation

Shoot today was much better than the imaging session (: saw many '08 grid girls but didn't really need to say more than hi to them because I'd brought my own company along :D boy was I glad I asked my friends to join me. You'll probably see me on tv when it airs. Sorry I can't say much or post any pictures, but yeah (: oh yeah, and I ended up wearing the uncomfortable dress because I was too lazy and I secretly liked it after a while. It was actually not that bad being different (: also, the kind lady at wardrobe did alter it for me so it fit a good deal better.

Brought my "gal pals"--I've seen them virtually everyday since Tuesday--afterwards to my favourite Korean place and then had gelato at Frutta. Yum! We had a gazillion refills of seaweed during dinner. Hahaha. The chendol ice cream was crazy delicious and my friend really liked the rocky road. Mmmmm. Finally satisfied my Burger King craving for both mushroom swiss and barbecue turkey bacon this morning :D :D so greedy, I am.

Yesterday, the hairshow guy a hard time deciding on what to do with my hair, mainly because since my other friends are adamant on not dying/highlighting doing anything chemical that could potentially damage their hair so we all look pretty much the same. I overheard in the exchange between him and his trainer that styling without colour/highlights is pointless. And besides, I'd end up looking exactly like either of my friends if he did styling or "hair up" for me, which'd kind of defeat the point of a hairshow. LoL. Anyway, I've to go back again for him to figure out what to do with me... Am inclined to doing highlights just to make things easier for him since he's so nice and I feel so bad. After all, he did reassure me that my hair texture was good for highlights and wouldn't spoil; medium brown highlights would look natural; and I wouldn't have to do anything extraordinary other than not shampooing for 2 days. Randomly, I am doing a french roll for the trainer on the day of the fitting--she did suggest to the senior that I was ideal for "hair up" and said that's why she'd picked me for a demo. Haha. Watch this space to see if anything exciting happens to my hair. Wiggles brows.

Popped by Walas for a bit last night (nearly got bojioed) to catch up with friends and enjoy live music from Shirlyn Tan and the Unxpected, with Joan the keyboardist/violinist instead of Simon the guitarist. The setlists were really uber random but quite strange slash cool.. They sort of grow on you.

Wednesday's Tonkichi Day was awesome, as always. I saw that there was a Domani day, so you can bet I'll be there next time. Heehee. 25% off with my Pokka card, yay. Had the oyster and rosu set, with an add-on chawanmushi.. Was only thinking about the rosu but couldn't resist the oysters. Hurrr. Self-control fail. Haha. My companion had the rosu katsu don (about SGD 20 before discount, including charges), which she said was really good, too. Didn't manage to try the coffee jelly (SGD 3.50++).. I'll make sure to try it next time even though I don't do coffee.

Anyway, it's the annual Library Book Sale tomorrow :D :D :D I'm excited. And also, a girly gathering tomorrow evening of food, games (UGLY UGLY UGLY!!!!! and slow rounds of Citadels) and company (: it'll be so lovely. Attendance by everyone who's around, including friends back from the UK. Haven't seen them in a year!

Perhaps I shall watch my Troy dvd by myself now while my hair dries, then turn in for an early night (:

xoxo

P.S. seriously tempted by those stupid Kenneth Coles and a further discounted SPF 50 Neutrogena sunblock. Right now I think I'm very prone to succumbing to both \:
